About Savannah
Savannah Mikle was born in 1994 and was raised in the rural midwest village of Pulaski, Wisconsin. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay with an emphasis in painting and graphic design in 2023. She currently lives and creates work in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Savannah focuses on exploring flora and fauna found in the midwest with a fascination in decomposition, life and death cycles, and the passage of time. She primarily works in eco-conscious mediums and materials that preserve the work's ability to break down and participate in the process of renewal similar to its conceptual nature. She also uses found and reusable materials to give them a new life. This includes works on paper, handmade ink from foraged materials, watercolor, gouache, pencil, and a recent interest in woodburning.
